Fraiser Logo

To get started with a fresh day in Seattle, a spot of shopping was in order as I had no dress shoes to go out that evening. I finally seattled on a pair of rockers shoes you can stand in and rock back and forth to correct your stance.

Next we headed down to the water front next to the Puget Sound to have lunch which constricted of perfectly crisp and tender fish and chips with plenty oftartar sauce.

The space needle was the destination for a classy meal out for the evening. Upon arrival we were chaperoned on to the elevator that takes groups of people up to 600 feet and the revolving restaurant, our destination for glamorous dinner in the skies.

Sitting down at the table we had a perfect 360 degree view of the whole of Seattle. If you have ever seen the television series Frasier the backdrop of the logo comes from that very skyline. Dinner for myself was fish and more fish, starting with clams (Yes I have become a lover of clams), moving on to more rich and smooth clam chowder with entree (entree is mains in America not starter as I am used to) of scallops, prawns and salmon served with truffles, asparagus and potatoes

After a splendid feast we headed up to the observation deck, observing Seattle at night. The observation deck has a inner ring which is enclosed in the warmth which is full of touch screen panels with information about the Seattle area and an outer ring outside in the freezing cold of the Seattle night. Suffice it to say I popped out briefly to take a few photos before freezing my socks off.
