11 May

Sunday was fairly uneventful with Perth like weather outside everyone was outside walking, bike riding or just sitting outside enjoying the weather. Since I have been here the weather has been really good, Seattle’s typical weather is somewhere between 10 up to 15 degrees, cloudy with rain. (As I write this the next day the weather this morning looks to be more normal for the area I am told)

The hotel I am staying at is right beside the Sammamish River and trail that runs for about 10 miles. I ran about half of that and back to the hotel across great green landscape I have not seen very much of outside of Cumbria. Suffice it to say the trail was packed with people, mostly cycling but out enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

The rest of the day was spent sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and catching up on the news of the week with the Seattle Times and New York Times (National Saturday edition).
