Nothing like a Saturday market, loads of useless trinkets and really good smelling food... for Dogs. I think they were having a themed dog market that day with catch the Frisbee and peanut butter spoon licking events for the dogs to take part in. Still desperately looking for breakfast at this point I spotted the normal market further down and managed to pick up a nice chicken and cheese hotdog for lunch with a cone of ice cream along side.
Taking a taxi to the train station we boarded our Amtrak sleeper train complete with a two beds in the space the size of a small cupboard bound for San Francisco. We got breath taking views of the Cascade Mountains as we were eating dinner in the dining car of the train. The train itself had several simple coach carriages and several sleep carriages all attached to a dinner car and parlour car (Sit down and chill carriage). The sleep itself felt a bit rough, it can be hard to sleep when the train is constantly bouncing around you on the tracks.
